Meet Our Team
At the core of CLAY Youth Project is an exceptional team of staff whose passion and dedication set them apart. Their diverse skills and genuine commitment to empowering young people create a supportive and transformative environment. Whether it's through creative programmes, mentorship, or just being there when needed most, the CLAY team consistently goes above and beyond to inspire and guide the young people. Their collective energy, empathy, and expertise make them the driving force behind the Project's success, fostering a safe and inclusive environment where young people can thrive, fostering growth, resilience and bright futures for every young person who walks through CLAY’s doors. Meet our Team below!

Project Leader
Bob Kenny
Bob has just been promoted to Project Leader in CLAY. Bob has worked in CLAY since 2012 and is a huge Liverpool fan! Coldplay is his favorite Band. Bob enjoys all sports and is a part-time football coach for Lourdes Celtic. Bob loves working in CLAY because he likes to see young people grow and develop into adults with the support and opportunities that CLAY strives to supply them with. He doesn't like McDonald's and prefers to have a chicken curry if he was to have a takeaway. He's a fan of Barry's tea - Lyon's is too strong!

UBU Youth Worker
Toni Thompson
Toni has worked in CLAY since 2016. She loves 80s music. Toni never finishes a cup of tea (she's always too busy!)! Her McDonald's order would be a Big Mac Meal with diet Coke and readily admits she's old enough to remember when pizza was served there! Toni loves reading, going to quizzes and volunteers twice a week with a baton twirling club. She's kept busy!

UBU Youth Worker
Joe Greene
Joe recently joined the CLAY Youth Work Team and brings plenty of energy (and coffee) with him. He loves concerts, travelling, and getting way too competitive on the PS5. Music is always playing — unless it’s time for a serious game of Black Ops. You won’t catch Joe at McDonald's, but hand him a spice bag and he’s happy out. He’s passionate about youth work and loves seeing young people grow in confidence, explore their interests, and achieve great things.

YDP Co-Ordinator
Rebeccah McNamara
YDP Youth Justice Worker
Jamie Healy
Jamie has recently joined the CLAY Youth Justice team but has been a part of CLAY for years, once as a young person himself. Jamie loves music, pool, fifa and Lam’s Ballyfermot. Crispy, saucy, pure heaven. If he ever wins the lotto,he’s buyin’ the place. Naming it after himself. Jamie’s Lams. Has a ring to it, doesn’t it? when he’s not workin’, He’s DJin’ and going to gigs and gym. YNWA forever. He’s cried over that club, proper tears. Istanbul, the league win, all of it. And pool — don’t even test him. Bit of healthy competition, like. But in the middle of all that — pool, music, Lams, footie — it’s about showin’ up. Every day. For the young ones. Bein’ the person he wishes he had back then. Someone who listens, who gets it. Who’s just... there.

YDP Early Intervention Worker
Stephen Byrne
Stephen has just started full time in CLAY as the YDP Early Intervention Worker but as a former young person of CLAY he pretty much grew up in the Project! Stephen is 28, a die hard Manchester United fan (which is bad at the moment!). He loves going on holiday but when he's not on holidays he loves sitting down and having a chat over a cup of tea! His McDonald’s order is a weird one just a McSpicy burger meal with a water. You’ll always find Steo on the Astro!

YDP Family Support Worker
Fran Monaghan
.
Financial Administrator
Jane McClure
Jane has worked in CLAY since the end of 2019. She loves a spreadsheet! Jane previously worked in film for 12 years and so loves going to the cinema and all things film! Also a big fan of Formula 1 and Italy, so looks forward to the day she can go to the Grand Prix in Imola or Monza! She prefers pizza over McDonalds and says you can't beat a good Margherita!
Maintenance Worker
Darren Carney
Darren joined the CLAY team this year and is doing a fantastic job! He's very hard working, has worked in various areas of the construction industry over the years and brings with him lots of experience. Darren loves to fish, cycle, socialise and do some gardening (lots of that to do in CLAY!) There's nothing better than a family day out for Darren!

Youth Support Worker
Christine McManus
Christine has worked in CLAY since the end of 2010 and is a fantastic addition to the team. She is a huge Nathan Carter fan! Christine can be found in the Bingo most nights! Her McDonald's order would be a Big Mac Meal with Coke Zero! Having 6 kids Christine comes to CLAY for a break! Christine loves working in CLAY as she likes working with young people, they make her happy and give her a purpose to come to work.
